Google Question Hub

Google Question Hub was a knowledge market platform developed and offered by Google. It used various algorithms to collect unanswered web search queries for content creators, including journalists. It was launched in 2019 and was available in English, Hindi, and Indonesian.

Question Hub allowed creators to browse through unanswered questions and claim them to write about. Once a creator claimed a question, they had 24 hours to write a response. After 24 hours, the question would become available for other creators to claim.

Creators could earn money from their responses through Google AdSense. Responses that were well-written, informative, and relevant to the question would be displayed higher in search results and would therefore earn more money for the creator.

Question Hub was shut down on January 5, 2023. Google cited a number of reasons for the shutdown, including the fact that the platform was not being used by as many people as Google had hoped.

Despite its short lifespan, Question Hub was an interesting experiment in how to use technology to connect content creators with unanswered questions. It remains to be seen whether Google will launch a similar platform in the future.
